Junior Product Designer

At Tasman Medical Trolleys, we design and build high-quality medical equipment used by hospitals across New Zealand. We're looking for a practical, motivated Junior Product Designer to get involved at ground level—literally. You'll be working four days per week in our factory, gaining firsthand knowledge of how things are made, and one day per week using Fusion 360 to turn ideas into real solutions.
What You'll Be Doing:
● Assisting in the design of new medical trolleys and improving existing ones
● Creating 3D models and drawings using Fusion 360
● Working closely with our production team to learn how products are built
● Prototyping, testing, and iterating on real, working products
● Supporting the Industrial Product Designer across all stages of development
What We’re Looking For:
● A qualification in Industrial or Product Design (or similar)
● Confidence using Fusion 360
● A strong interest in manufacturing and hands-on design
● A practical mindset and good problem-solving skills
● Someone who thrives in a team and wants to learn by doing
