Student ID Card 


 Your student ID card is a multipurpose card that gives you access to FREE buses, student’s discounts, printing and photocopying and MORE. Get your ID card early start taking advantage of these deals.

How to get your student ID card?

New Plymouth Campus:

Email idcards@witt.ac.nz with: 

  1. Suitable head and shoulders photo (Please include your preferred first name and your legal family name, student ID number (If you have it) and your date of birth). Your photo needs to be: a jpeg image, portrait and in colour. Please don’t use filters
  2.  Let us know if you want your student ID card mailed out to you or whether you will come and collect it from Te Whare Mātauranga (L Block) Mon –Fri 8am – 4pm 

If you can’t email a photo just pop into Te Whare Mātauranga (L Block) at the below times, we will take your photo, and give your card to you on the spot.

  • Te Whare Mātauranga 8am-4pm Monday- Friday

South Taranaki Campus:

Email idcards@witt.ac.nz with: 

  1. Suitable head and shoulders photo (Please include your preferred first name and your legal family name, student ID number (If you have it) and your date of birth). Your photo needs to be: a jpeg image, portrait and in colour. Please don’t use filters
  2.  Your student ID card will be mailed out to you

If you can’t email a photo just pop into Te Whare Mātauranga (L Block) at the below times, we will take your photo, and give your card to you on the spot.

  • Te Whare Mātauranga (L Block) Mon –Fri 8am – 4pm
  • 40A Union Street South Taranaki Campus Mon- Fri 8am – 4pm

Important:  You need to be fully enrolled before we will begin printing your student ID card.

Why do you need your Student ID Card?

  • You need your student ID card for printing and photocopying, parking in the student carpark, issuing Library books, and accessing areas around campus
  • It is also the key to free bus travel to and from WITT and around the māunga. Some places such as the cinema give a student discount so it is always a good idea to have your ID card with you

Handy tips:

  • Please be aware that changes to timetables are updated on a regular basis and it is therefore important to check your timetable frequently.
  • It is advisable that you check your timetable on a week to week basis as this is more user-friendly if your classes are in different locations or if you have a change of tutor. 
  • Please note:  some details for the 2022 timetables may not be final so day and or times may change.  Your timetable will be confirmed closer to the start date.
