Returning to the education system after being a labour worker for roughly nine years was quite intimidating. As Māori, we feel as if we need to start working at a young age to support our family and continue to grind it out. However, there are better working environments out there for us. Coming to WITT has enabled me to reach goals and opportunities that I never thought were possible to achieve five years ago. WITT has given me the second chance I needed in order for me to pursue a better career path.
I chose WITT as my preferred study institute as it is close to home and provides me with the same qualifications that other institutes provide. The tutors are very supportive and they always encourage students to reach their full potential. I am in my final year of study and I will finish my Bachelor of Applied Management majoring in Accounting.
