Start your career with one of NZ's largest companies and gain a NZ Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Industrial focus) and a full practicing license in our fully funded apprenticeship. You will work in a large manufacturing environment with a supportive team of technical trades professionals while earning a competitive salary.  

What can you expect?

  • Theory based learning balanced with practical hands-on training and work experience
  • Work on wiring equipment, equipment breaddowns, preventative maintenance, fault diagnostics, maintenance planning and scheduling, shut down maintenance and installations, with exposure to instrumentation and site utilities assets such as boilers
  • Learn how to repair and maintain a huge variety of cutting-edge technology including PLCs, highly automated packing and process equipment

What we offer:

  • Focus on pastoral care and qualification support
  • A 4-year (8000 hour) fixed term contract
  • Monday to Friday day roster, 40 hours per week
  • A full starting tool kit worth approx $3,000

  • Coverage of all training related costs during block course including meals, accommodation and travel

Who are we looking for?

  • Achieved, or in the process of achieving NCEA Level 2 with Maths and English (all) + Physics (electrical only)
  • An interest and aptitude in hands-on engineering work
  • A passion to qualify and build a career in your chosen field
  • Restricted driver's license (by the time you start the apprenticeship)
  • Keen interest in solving problems, a curiosity to learn and being able to work in different situations with different people
  • Completion of a pre-trade course in a related subject would be awesome, but not a necessity
  • NZ citizen, Australian citizen, or Permanent Resident in NZ
  • 16+ years old
