Kia ora recent grads! If you are looking for work, Mayor's Taskforce for Jobs (MTFJ) at Stratford District Council, might be able to help!

MTFJ is an initiative that is part of the Community Employment Programme in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development. We help place mainly young people 16 to 24 into employment. MTFJ has resources and connections to help with work-ready skills, training, obtaining a driver licence, work gear, mental health support and a variety of tools to help people become more employable. Our main goal is to get people into full-time sustainable employment.

There should be a connection to Stratford for us to help. Either the job seeker is a resident of Stratford district, or the business has clients or does work in Stratford or is based in Stratford. There isn’t any cost for this programme support. Job seekers just need to register. To do that, email the MTFJ Coordinator – Samantha Vega at svega@stratford.govt.nz.
