Pruning and Training for Organic Primary Production

During this course you will gain an understanding of a range of management and pruning techniques for a selected range of fruit crops.

On successful completion of this programme the student will be able to:

  • understand plant growth and development in the context of pruning.
  • describe management and pruning techniques for a selected range of young and mature organic fruit crops.
  • apply knowledge of pruning techniques to a selected range of young and mature organic fruit crops.

Duration

Five weeks consisting of:

  • Five Thursday nights (3 hours) - total 15 hours
  • Two full Saturdays (September 10, 24)
