About this course
This eight-week micro-credential includes 150 hours of learning, with an estimated commitment of 15 hours per week.
Designed for professionals, this course enhances your proficiency in Trauma-Informed Care, equipping you with the principles, knowledge, and practical skills to support people with multi-dimensional experiences of trauma— while also considering the well-being of their whānau.
This Level 7 course challenges perspectives, deepens understanding, and strengthens professional practice. You’ll gain insights into trauma-informed approaches that honour people’s experiences, empower resilience, and promote well-being—both for those you work with and for yourself.
With expert guidance and academic support you’ll develop the tools to embed trauma-informed care into your everyday work as you gain a holistic understanding that includes the impact of trauma from a historical and intergenerational perspective in Aotearoa.

Intake Dates
This is an eight week course delivered online with two full-day, face to face workshops on 1 May and 19 June 2025 that start at 9am. Course is eight weeks long plus a two-week study break.
