Qualification overview

Students will apply basic baking skills to produce biscuit, bread, cake, and pastry products in accordance with industry standards. Students will learn how to work as an effective team member to produce required bakery products by demonstrating clear and appropriate communication within a group and one on one situations.

Entry requirements

  • 48 or more credits at NCEA Level 1 including NCEA Level 1 literacy and numeracy requirements and/or
  • Equivalent NZQF standards  and/or
  • Other suitable equivalent level 1 or 2 qualification.
  • Equivalent knowledge, skills, work
