We're excited to be part of Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori. We will have activities running at our Ngāmotu Campus and our Te Hāwera Campus so our entire whānau can take part.
All Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori activities will take place at 12:10pm.
Ngāmotu
Rāhina - Kahoot Quiz! Compete in a team or by yourself at the annual Māori Language quiz. It’s fun, noisy and there are prizes to be won! Meet us in Te Kāuta Mezzanine at 12:10pm.
Rātū - Come and learn our Te Kura Matatini o Taranaki anthem - Te Matatini. Meet us in Te Piere at 12:10pm.
Rāapa - Learn basic Te Reo Māori with our fabulous Te Reo kaiako (teachers). Everyone who participates can enjoy fried bread; a delicious Māori treat. Meet us in Te Piere at 12:10pm.
Rāpare - A mass waiata session for ākonga (learners) and kaimahi (staff) to perform our Te Kura Matatini o Taranaki anthem - Te Matatini, as part of the nationwide moment. We’ll record our kapa haka session and upload it for the world to see. Meet us outside Te Piere at 12:10pm.
Te Hāwera
