WITT is a great place to work!  On this page, you will see a snapshot of our recent Engagement and Climate Survey results.  We have, over the past three years, improved our Engagement Index score to 75.96% (for comparison, the State Sector score is 69%).  Everyone in the WITT team is committed to year on year improvements in communication, engagement, and outcomes for our learners and our community.

Teacher Aide - Foundation Studies

WITT is a tertiary education organisation which prides itself on its student success and quality learning environments.

The Education and Pathways department at WITT is looking for applications from those who are interested becoming part of our passionate Foundation Studies Team to provide support to our Level 2 programmes.  This role is fixed term/part time (15 hours per week).

We are looking for someone who:

  • Work closes with our learners either in small groups or individually
  • Facilitate instruction of learners
  • Be pro-active within a classroom setting

It is desirable that you would:

  • Has specific literacy knowledge and/or holds an NCALNE qualification
  • Has a passion for helping foundation learners succeed, specifically in a group project situation with embedded literacy and numeracy
  • have strong information technology skills and experience in online learning platforms

Carpentry Tutor/Academic Staff Member

WITT is a tertiary education organisation which prides itself on its student success and quality learning environments. Our trade’s team at WITT is a group of skilled tutors who are passionate about their trades and the future of those trades in Taranaki.  

We are looking for a full time, fixed term carpentry tutor to join our trades teaching team at WITT.   Applicants will need to be a qualified carpenter, with five years’ experience.

We are looking for someone who;

  • Has experience as a foreman of a site
  • Has experience running a build from start to finish
  • Enjoys working with a range of ages and skill levels
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Has a good attitude to Health and Safety in the Workplace.

It is desirable that you would;

  • LBP would be an advantage
  • have experience in a teaching and learning environment and have demonstrated an innovative approach to delivery
