Nursing Lecturer/Academic Staff Member

We are looking for applications to teach on our Nursing programmes.  This position is based at the New Plymouth Campus.  It is a full-time position within the School of Nursing, Health and Wellness.

  • Registered Nurse with an Annual Practicing Certificate
  • At least 3 years recent clinical experience, acute medical/surgical experience preference         
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to a diverse group of people
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills Be prepared to learn new technologies in teaching and learning

Previous academic experience would be an advantage.

Senior Communications and Engagement Advisor

We are looking for a pragmatic and flexible person to join our Marketing Team as a Senior Communications and Engagement Advisor for a fixed term period (13 months maternity cover).

This position is based at our New Plymouth Campus and is a full-time role. 

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Plan and execute communications across all channels
  • Manage content and drive engagement on social platforms
  • Identify, leverage and execute opportunities across media, PR and sponsorships
  • Managing all aspects of corporate communications, including issues and crisis communications
  • Stakeholder engagement including leveraging opportunities for content

If you can tick the following boxes we'd love to hear from you: 

  • At least 5 years of communications, content and copywriting experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proven ability to manage relationships at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills, particularly in relation to planning, time management, record keeping, problem solving, administration and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Communications or Journalism degree or equivalent experience

Occupational Health Nurse

We’re seeking applications from talented people who are interested in joining our Student Success team in helping our students be their best.   This is a permanent full-time role, based at our New Plymouth Campus.

We’re looking for a Practice Nurse or Occupational Health Nurse who will:

  • Provide confidential Health Services to students and staff
  • Manage the day to day functions, and associated administration, of a busy health clinic
  • Deliver Health Education and heath promotions across campus
  • Monitor workforce health and safety practices and risks
  • Oversee the institutes Duty First Aiders

You will need to have:

  • a current practicing certificate
  • five years experince
  • experience in managing the activities of a health service
  • knowledge of Medtech Evolution
  • an active interest in Occupational Health and Safety
  • an ability to work with youth and our international student
  • Technology and social media competent
  • excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills

Te Waka Kai (Food Caravan) Chef

Systems Support Officer

We are looking for someone to support for all desktop hardware, Microsoft productivity and administrative software and WITT telephony. The role is responsible for incident and request ticket management, improving the support desks knowledge base and providing outstanding customer service to all our customers (Staff and Students).  The role will also include staging and deployment of laptops, desktops, thin clients, and mobile devices; including providing advice to Staff and Students.

What we’re looking for someone who has:

  • Analytical skills to troubleshoot technical issues and identify the cause
  • Excellent knowledge of computer software in particular Microsoft packages.
  • Some experience in help desk or IT Support Environment
  • Able to work effectivity with others while remaining claim
  • Have proactive and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to build excellent relationships
  • Confident, can-do attitude
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risk
  • Provide excellent customer service

IT Manager

We’re looking for an Information Technology Manager to join our team.   This is a full-time role, reporting directly to the CFO.

What we’re looking for

  • Technology: Delivering and giving effect to IT systems and services to ensure technology platforms remain up-to-date and able to adapt quickly to change
  • Project delivery: Manage and lead technology projects that replace and update infrastructure and core services
  • Services: Ensure the IT functions align with the needs of the institute and be proactive in assuring any change is planned for and managed to ensure minimal disruption
  • Management: Lead and manage IT and Technical Support Service staff
  • Leadership: Delivering leadership that is inspiration and empowers people to be their best
