Getting around

Parking

Parking is free at New Plymouth campus, but students need to display a parking sticker to access the Student carpark. Stickers are issued when you receive your ID card. If you have received your student ID card and do not have a parking sticker, you can collect one from Te Whare Matauranga - The Library. Check the campus map for parking options on campus.

Tip: Parking is always busy so we recommend arriving early!

If you're at Hāwera campus there are free on-street parking options, with two-hour parks right outside on Union Street and all-day parking on neighbouring streets.

Accessible carparks are available on campus for holders of Operation Mobility cards. For more details please contact the Accessibility Coordinator

Free travel for WITT students

All current WITT students are eligible to travel for free using the public bus services.

To access free public bus travel in 2022 WITT students need to show the driver their WITT student ID card.

BeeCards no longer have WITT concessions however students who have BeeCards can continue using them in the future if they wish. They only need to register their BeeCard (if they have not already) and top up.
