Qualification overview

This qualification is intended for learners who have little or no prior learning or experience in makeup or complementary services such as hair styling. Graduates of this qualification will be able to:

- Implement professional standards and expectations relating to a makeup artistry workplace including all relevant health, safety and hygiene obligations.
- Consult with clients and perform an in-depth analysis for makeup artistry and product needs to create a makeup plan, in accordance with industry standards and current and emerging trends.


Entry requirements

• NCEA Level 2; or
• New Zealand Certificate in Makeup and Skincare (Introduction) Level 3; or
• Equivalent knowledge, skills, work experience or study.
