Qualification overview

A graduate of the Certificate in Fashion Makeup Artistry will be able to prepare skin for make-up application, create day make-up and hairstyling.

Create looks for different medias, including fashion photographic work and fashion catwalk work. Comply with the service requirements of a professional make-up artist, Create period inspired looks by application of make-up and hairstyling. 


Entry requirements

  • NCEA Level 1 requirements for Literacy & Numeracy, and/or
  • Equivalent NZQF Unit Standards and/or
  • Equivalent knowledge, life skills, work experience or study.

Career Options

Entry into a supervised position within the make-up artistry industry as a make-up artist including pharmacies, cosmetic counters, make up houses, television or retail positions.
