WorleyParsons in Tune

WorleyParsons has donated musical instruments to WITT Student Support Services.

Two guitars, a ukulele, a set of bongos and percussion instruments arrived at the polytech last week.

They were put to use by students and tutors this week during a jam session to kick off Stress-Free Study Week, which has seen activities to reduce stress and tension in the lead up to exams and end of the semester.

“The jam session was great - there were more people watching than playing but there will be a regular jam session next semester as the interest is there,” WITT Youth Guarantee Coordinator Joanah Phillips said.

The instruments were originally purchased by WorleyParsons’ Christmas Party Committee last year for use at a staff Christmas party and it was always intended that they would then be donated to another organisation.

Some of the jamming action was caught live … you can see it here.
