TF's new leader

Taranaki Futures has found a successor to its general manager Warwick Foy in the province.

Belinda Mooney, who has been with the TSB since 2005, most recently as its Head of Products, will take up her new role at the end of this month.

The appointment was announced earlier this month by Taranaki Futures board chair Steve Scott.

“Taranaki Futures continues to evolve in its support of education to employment. Belinda Mooney will continue to build on existing programmes and new initiatives for 2019 and beyond. We are delighted to welcome her to the organisation,” he said.

Taranaki Futures runs projects, partnerships and networks to improve the transition from education to employment. It works in partnership with WITT on the highly successful Build a Bach programme. Secondary school students are trained at WITT and, under supervision, construct houses on the WITT site. The houses are sold at the end of the year and moved.

Belinda Mooney has a background in research, marketing and strategy fields.

”I’m really excited to be joining the Taranaki Futures team, and look forward to carrying on the excellent work Warwick and team have established,” she said.
