O-Week kicks off on Monday

Around 500 new akōnga (learners) will join Te Kura Matatini o Taranaki/WITT next week, as the second trimester begins and O-Week activities get underway.

There’s a full schedule of O-Week events kicking off on Monday at both New Plymouth and South Taranaki campus. Marketing and Events Coordinator Samantha Legge said it was always an exciting time of year

“I always look forward to seeing so many new faces around during O-Week,” she said. “Our pōwhiri on Monday morning are big, special events that are a really important way to set students up for their first days and weeks at WITT.”

“This trimester we’re extra excited because we’ve just launched the WITT student app, MyWITT, which we know students are going to love. It’s designed to make their lives easier with access to personalised timetables, campus maps, student deals, learning platforms, library services and more.”

To encourage people to download and log in to MyWITT, Samantha said they are running a competition over O-Week open to all students. To enter, students simply need to download and login to the app as a student, and they’ll go in the draw to win an iPad. Student can login through destop and moblie.
