Incoming CE visits

Incoming WITT chief executive John Snook visited WITT this week and met the management team.

John, who commences work in Taranaki on February 4, said he was struck by the passion of the staff.

“It’s clear they get up in the morning wanting to make a difference, and that’s important to me,” he said.

Lyal French-Wright has been acting chief executive since late last year and the two were able to discuss the transition process this week.

Lyal will resume his role as deputy to WITT council chair Robin Brockie when John starts at WITT.

The incoming chief executive’s appointment was announced by WITT on Monday through its website and newsletter, and the story has been picked up by the Taranaki Daily News and More FM, who introduced John on Ken and Anna’s breakfast show on Wednesday.
