New Zealand Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4)

Designed to provide the building and construction industry with trained people who have achieved the practical skills and knowledge required to work unsupervised, you will learn how to construct, repair and install building structures to the level required of a commercially competent carpenter.

This qualification supports the knowledge and skill requirements of the Carpentry class of the Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) scheme.

This programme is delivered in partnership with another Te Pūkenga provider.

Entry Requirements

  • New Zealand Certificate in Construction Trades Skills (Carpentry) (Level 3); or
  • Evidence of equivalent skills and knowledge.
  • Apprentice must be working full-time in the construction industry as an employee or contractor.

Additional expenses

Closer to the programme starting, learners will receive a list of course materials to purchase.  Examples of course materials could include textbooks, stationary, printing; uniforms, personal protective equipment, tools and a laptop.
