1. How to APPLY

Application forms for programmes of study need to be completed and submitted to WITT. Application forms can be submitted on-line from this website, returned to the WITT office at 20 Bell Street New Plymouth or sent via the mail to WITT, Private Bag 2030, New Plymouth, 4620.

Application forms are available at the WITT office, in WITT prospectuses or can be downloaded by clicking here.  On-line application forms are available by clicking on the Online Application Form icon at the bottom of your screen.

Some courses may have a minimum entry requirement or a selection process requiring an interview. The selection process is designed to make sure those selected have the best chance of succeeding. Interviews provide an opportunity for you to ask about the programme and decide if you want to study as well as an opportunity for WITT to ensure that this is the right qualification for you. You will be notified if you are required to have an interview.

Waiting lists

Limited places are available on most courses. Once this limit has been reached applicants may go on a waiting list. Students are advised of being on a waiting list and will be contacted if a place becomes available.

Applications for part-time courses

Applicants for part-time courses need to check if a pre-selection process is in place by contacting WITT on 0800 WITTWORKS (0800 948 896). For all students it is recommended you enrol as soon as you decide what programme of study you wish to take because programmes can fill very quickly.

Assessment of Prior Learning

(APL) - formally acknowledges the value of a student¹s prior learning, whether formal or informal, by assessing that prior learning for the purpose of considering the granting of credit towards a unit of learning, course or programme in which a student wishes to enrol.

2. How to enrol

Applicants for courses where there is space available and where the applicant meets the entry criteria will be sent an enrolment pack. The enrolment pack contains the enrolment form and details any additional information that is required to complete the enrolment.

To enrol:

  1. Complete the student contract form
    • Provide enrolment documentation as detailed in the enrolment pack
      • Apply for Student Loan to pay fees or pay fees in full

Enrolments are accepted at the Registry either in person at 20 Bell Street, New Plymouth or can be mailed to Registry, WITT, Private Bag 2030, New Plymouth 4620.
