Headstart 2017

Headstart is an introduction to tertiary study and support services at WITT. Headstart is available to all new students to help prepare them for Orientation and studies. View what the workshops cover below.

When:  Thursday 20 July, 9am - 3pm
Where: Te Piere o Te Rangi (F block)

What to bring: Pen & paper and a support person if required.
Registration: Call us on 0800 WITT WORKS (0800 948 896), email info@witt.ac.nz , or drop-in to enrol. Places are limited, please register early. Headstart is fee-free.

Workshops

Meet & Greet - Meet the Student Support staff and other new students.
Questions - Ask all those burning questions about tertiary study and WITT.
Understanding the Powhiri - Get comfortable and familiar with the powhiri process, roles and responsibilities.
You as a learner - Understand how you learn and why sometimes you don’t. We all have learning challenges so find out how your individual style can work for you. 
Campus Tour - Know your way around campus before you start. Current students will be available to provide information, friendly advice and take you on a tour showing you important spots.
Get to Know WITT -  All of the important info you need as a student studying at WITT.
Maths & Tech Tips: Get some number strategies. Find out how you can access your timetable, Moodle (student portal) and technology you can use as a student at WITT.
Balancing Your Life & Study - Learn how to manage your study and the demands on your time so you can succeed.
