Turn your passion for vehicles into a career by gaining knowledge, skills and abilities to enter employment in the motor industry. The aim of the Certificate in Automotive Trades qualification is to develop graduates who have a theoretical and practical understanding of Automotive Engineering.

   

Entry requirements

  • 48 credits at NCEA level 1 and must include NCEA Level 1 requirements for
  • Literacy and Numeracy; or
  • Equivalent NZQF Unit Standards; or
  • Equivalent knowledge, life skills, work experience or study
  • Students will be required to complete a mechanical aptitude test
  • Minimum of Class 1 Learners Drivers licence is required
