Qualification overview

This one-year, full-time qualification offers theory and practical study in electrical engineering and related subjects that will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary for employment or to undertake an apprenticeship in the electrical or instrumentation trades.


Entry requirements

  • 48 credits at NCEA Level 1, with at least 10 credits in Maths and/or Physics and 8 credits in Literacy, with the remainder in 3 other subjects or
  • Equivalent NZQF Unit Standards or
  • Equivalent knowledge, life skills, work experience or study
