Qualification overview

This qualification is designed to support students in gaining key literacy, numeracy and tertiary learning skills that will assist them to succeed in higher levels of study.  The structure encompasses various National Certificates including NC Employment Skills, NC Toruism (Introduction SKills) Level 2, NC Sport Level 2, NC Retail theory units, and NCEA 1 or 2 depending on the courses chosen. Also there are Maori tikanga courses to choose from. This course may also provide students with literacy and numeracy credits required for NCEA and University Entrance. Students may exit or enter the programme at various levels and may graduate with a number of differently endorsed qualifications, including ZNQA credits towards NCEA Levels 1 & 2.
