Qualification overview

This qualification aims to provide the underpinning knowledge and skills necessary for an Electrical Engineering Technician. It provides experience in technology transfer and application, complex problem solving skills, analytical thinking, and advanced technical skills.

    

Entry requirements

• 48 credits at Level 2 in four subjects including at least 12 in mathematics; or

• Equivalent qualifications (e.g. International Baccalaureate or Cambridge)

• Equivalent credits from appropriate trades training and/or demonstrated: or skills and experience and

• A minimum of 10 Literacy credits at Level 1 or higher including 4 reading and 4 writing.

We welcome applications from both international students and New Zealand residents whose first language is not English. For this programme you will require an IELTS (Academic) band score of 6.0 or greater (with no sub score below 5.5 in speaking, reading, writing and listening); or equivalent.
