Qualification overview
This Diploma aims to provide the roading industry with specialist technician level Highway Engineers. The qualification is suitable for applicants currently in employment who wish to broaden their knowledge in the field of highway technology.
This qualificaiton is delivered in partnership with the New Zealand Institute of Highway Technology.

Entry requirements

A total of 48 credits in best of four NCEA Level 2 subjects, including Mathematics (prefer at least 15 credits covering Algebra, Trigonometry and Geometry standards).

Other qualifications (e.g. 6th Form Certificate) may be considered equivalent to this admission requirement.
Career Options
Infrastructure industry employment in roles such as: Engineering Assistant, Worksite Supervisor, Highways Construction Technician.
