Qualification overview

This is the final year of a two-year qualification that is designed to offer training and assessment in beauty therapy. You will study cosmetic science, nutrition, electrical treatments, anatomy, physiology and health and safety.

Certificate in Beautician - all year one students will complete the Certificate in Beautician before progressing to year two.

Entry requirements

  • A minimum of four years of secondary education and
  • 48 or more credits at NCEA Level 2 or higher, with no fewer than 12 credits in each of four subjects and
  • 12 credits in English Level 1 or higher and at least 12 credits in science level 1 or higher; and or
  • Equivalent NZQF Unit Standards

Further study options

Graduates can undertake further study towards WITT's Certificate in Hairdressing, or any of WITT's diplomas or degrees.
