Entry requirements

  • 14 or more credits at Level 1 or higher in Numeracy or Pangarau on the NZQF and
  • 50 credits at Level 2 or above with at least 12 credits in each of 3 subjects including a minimum of 8 Literacy credits at level 2 or higher in English or Te Reo Maori; 4 credits must be in Reading and 4 credits must be in Writing. The Literacy credits will be selected from a schedule of NZQA approved Achievement Standards and Unit Standards. 
  • Students who do not meet the above criteria may be admitted to the programme if they can demonstrate equivalent skills and/or other study.

Special Admission Criteria

Executive Assistant, Human Resources, Marketing Co-ordinator, Personal Assistant, Customer Services Officer.

Further study options

Graduates can undertake further study towards the University of Waikato's Bachelor of Management Studies, Massey University's Bachelor of Business Studies or the Open Polytechnic's business degrees.
