WITT is a great place to work!  On this page you will see a snap shot of our recent Engagement and Climate Survey results.  We have, over the past three years, improved our Engagement Index score to 75.96% (for comparison, the State Sector score is 69%).  Everyone in the WITT team is committed to year on year improvements in communication, engagement, and outcomes for our learners and our community.

The filling of all staff vacancies is consistent with our hiring policy (link here) (note this is currently under review but much of the information will remain unchanged), and every member of the team goes through the process of interviews, references and police checks.  In this way, we have the time to ensure that you are a fit with us, and we are a fit with you. Expressions of Interest - Academic Staff Member, School of Nursing

The School of Nursing at WITT is looking for expressions of interest from those who have an interest being becoming part of the WITT Nursing Academic Team. Applicants will need to be a registered nurse with a current NCNZ APC with recent clinical experience.

WITT is a tertiary education organisation which prides itself on its student success and quality learning environments. The nursing team at WITT is a stable team with a passion for nursing and education.   

 We are looking for someone who;

  • has at least five years’ work experience specific to  relevant clinical fields of practice. ideally holds a Masters or post graduate qualification in a related area to nursing or education; or be prepared to work towards a Masters Qualification
  • Enjoys working with nursing students.

It is desirable that you would;

  • have experience in a teaching and learning environment and have demonstrated an innovative approach to delivery
  • be actively engaged or have an interest in research
  • Strong information technology skills and experience in online learning platforms.
