Disability Coordinator

WITT is a tertiary education organisation which prides itself on its student success and quality learning environments. We are seeking an energetic passionate person to join our student support team to provide information, pastoral support, liaison and advocacy for students with impairment.

This is a permanent, full time position (37.5 hours)

We are looking for someone who has: 

  • A sound understanding of the learning and pastoral needs of Disability students
  • Proven experience in the disability field
  • A relevant Tertiary qualification (desirable)
  • Sound knowledge of disability and learning difficulties
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed oral and writing skills, and computer competency
  • Is a self-starter, demonstrates initiative and can work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Confident in group presentations
  • Awareness of Tikanga Maori is desirable
