Tutor of Engineering Management

WITT is a tertiary education organisation which prides itself on its quality learning environment. We are seeking people to join our team to assist in building bright futures for our students.

We are currently recruiting a tutor for a part-time, fixed term position teaching Engineering Management for the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering. 

Key tasks for these roles include

  • Carrying out academic teaching and assessment role for Mechanical Engineering courses like and Engineering Management for New Zealand Diploma in Engineering
  • Participating in the process of student evaluations, modifying teaching practices where required and continuing the development of new and engaging teaching materials
  • Participating in quality control programmes and contributing to the development of new programmes of study
  • Recognising student support needs and engaging with teams across the various departments to create student success 
  • Recognising Maori and Pasifika learners’ needs and knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi
  • Recognising international students’ needs and cultural diversities.

You will need

  • Excellent hands on Engineering design experience in AUTOCAD and AUTODESK INVENTOR software
  • Excellent Engineering Management experience with Engineering Project management is preferable
  • A Bachelor degree in relevant Engineering or other related qualifications
  • At least five years’ experience in teaching at Tertiary level or equivalent industry experience
  • IPENZ membership or any other equivalent
  • Preferably a National Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education (Vocational/Workplace) Level 5

This is a part-time, fixed term position with a start date as soon as possible.
