Diana Fergusson

Diana undertook her hospital-based nursing training at Taranaki Base Hospital. Since then Diana has embarked on a series of academic study including Bachelor of Nursing at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Masters of Nursing Study at Deakin University, assessment papers at Penn University in Philadelphia and Post-Graduate Diploma in Higher Professional Education at Oxford Brookes University. After successfully completing the latter programme Diana was accepted into the Higher Education Academy in the UK to which she still belongs.

In 2008 Diana completed a textbook 'Clinical Assessment and Monitoring in Children' (published by Blackwells Publishing House). From here her research interests lay in pedagogy in healthcare education, particularly in an applied degree such as nursing. Diana currently has the role of Head of School of Nursing at WITT.
